Great phone for what it is. Only problem is limited signal indoors, but other that that it is rock solid.

Okay this phone was our "toughened" replacement for the earlier version. In my previous review on the earlier phone I wrote that essentially the phone was designed to be dropped behind enemy lines so that the enemy would be so frustrated that they would surrender.
Well the Brute is like taking the earlier P.O.S. and running it through the colon one more time. It is impossible to control with one hand, the buttons are not conducive to ease of use. Essentially if you are offered this by your Nextel/Sprint rep he is telling you he thinks he has found a "sucker".
Motorola makes some incredible stuff, this is like trying to repackage the Yugo.

Overall not impressed with the phone portion of the device. Volume is horrible, clarity is worse, battery doesn't last as long as others. The apps included are great but make sure you have a car charger if you're using the GPS. Overall I'd give it a 2.5 or 3. The camera isn't all that great either. If I would have known this I would have gotten the BlackBerry. As far as durability, this phone can handle the rough and the tough. Definitely not a texting phone.
